Cycling for better health: Uvumbuzi Bikathon in Kenya
Uvumbuzi a young network that lobbies and advocates for better provisions for cyclists in Kenya is organising a bicycle marathon on 7 July 2007 that raises awareness as well as funds for health and environment-oriented projects.
The marathon titled LETS SHARE THE ROAD will be an opportunity to cycle from Nairobi to Magadi. Imagine 116.2kms on a bicycle from Spalsh Water World through the picturesque Maasai Land all the way to Magadi Soda on a mission to raise awareness on Global Warming (through promotion of non-motorised mode of transport) and raise funds too in support of a medical camp in Magadi.
