French Virtual Forum Announced.
Following the creation and launch of the French language IFRTD email discussion group, IFRTD members in Central and Western Africa and other francaphone nations are invited to share in a series of discussions on rural transport services throughout July 2007.The moderation of this discussion is supported by the global Knowledge Transport Partnership (gTKP) and carried out by individual IFRTD members, facilitated by the IFRTD Secretariat in West and Central Africa.
For three weeks participants in the virtual forum will exchange examples of good practice in rural transport service provision with specific attention to three topics:
- Which types of technology are appropriate for particular modes of transport.
- The improvement and reliability of rural transport services.
- Transport safety from a rural perspective.
Participation in the virtual forum is free and voluntary. To subscribe go to: http://www.dgroups.org/groups/transportrural
