Regional Workshop on Animal Welfare
The Kenya Network for Dissemination of Agricultural Technologies (KENDAT) in collaboration with AWAKE (Animal Welfare Action, Kenya) and ATNESA (Animal Traction Network for East and Southern Africa) is planning a regional workshop on Animal Welfare - September 24 - 28, 2007. The workshop will bring together various organisations including charities, welfare, environment and other networks to exchange ideas on best strategies to improve animal welfare and utilisation as well as to conserve the environment.
Many welfare organisations continue to work alone and more often in isolation, yet it is possible to share and package lessons and experiences, and to develop a generic community model that can be applicable for technology transfers.
The workshop will also provide an opportunity for ATNESA to begin the process of developing its 10 year vision.
