AFCAP invites Expressions of Interest for Core Management Group

DFID is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified Service Providers capable of managing the AFCAP Research Programme. Management of AFCAP will be contracted out from DFID in early 2008 and the Service Provider will be required to form a Core Management Group. The tasks will involve (but not limited to):

i. generate innovation and provide new policy-relevant knowledge to produce better practice leading to impacts that will help the poor in developing countries;

ii. provide advice and undertake research to facilitate the delivery of safe and sustainable access for poor communities in Africa.

The work will be based around a portfolio of research demonstration, advisory and training projects. The outputs will feed directly into regional and national governments' rural transport policies and strategies for poverty reduction.
