IFRTD Regional Meeting for East & Southern Africa

Between 26th and 28th September, representatives of national networks from 7 countries in the region gathered in Kigali, Rwanda, for the 4th IFRTD regional meeting. This year, the meeting debated the concept of Local Transport Hubs as an approach that can be used to enhance transport service and infrastructure provision within service nodes and between them and the rural hinterland. Case studies from Rwanda, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and South Africa were presented. These will shortly be available on the IFRTD website. The meeting was hosted by the IFRTD national network in Rwanda
