Eric Britton
(International Consultant)

Eric Britton has made it a life time commitment to do his bit to advance the agenda of sustainable development and social justice. He decided many years ago to make his contribution by creating and supporting international problem solving teams and networks. In 1966 he founded EcoPlan a for-profit independent international forum of observation, reflection and counsel on issues involving technological change as it affects people in their daily lives.

A common theme Eric’s work is the strategic adaptation of technologies, products, services, business practices, and institutional structures to changing technological, resource and environmental requirements and perceptions. The vehicle for his extensive public interest work is an open public collaborative which he founded in the seventies as, what he then called, an "invisible college". Today it is called The Commons and is well worth a visit. http://ecoplan.org

Eric’s latest initiative is the Kyoto World Cities 20/20 Challenge for which you can find full information at http://kyotocities.org, and which thus far has received the support of more than two dozen outstanding female leaders and activists in the field.
